New Researcher: Eye Tests Predict Parkinson’s-Linked Cognitive Decline 18 Months Ahead

Jan 19,

  • studied 77 people with Parkinson’s disease and found that simple vision tests predicted who would go on to get dementia after a year and a half.

  • The new study also found that those who went on to develop Parkinson’s dementia had losses in the wiring of the brain, including in areas relating to vision and memory. The researchers used recently developed methods to analyze finely detailed MRI scans, enabling them to pick up the damage to the brain’s white matter

  • The research team also found changes to the levels of some neurotransmitters (chemical messengers) in people at risk of cognitive decline, suggesting that receptors for those transmitters may be potential targets for new drug treatments for Parkinson’s dementia.

New Researcher: Brain Stimulation Reduces Dyslexia Deficits

Sept 8

  • Restoring normal patterns of rhythmic neural activity through non-invasive electrical stimulation of the brain alleviates sound-processing deficits and improves reading accuracy in adults with dyslexia

  • The phonological deficit in dyslexia is associated with changes in rhythmic or repetitive patterns of neural activity in the sound-processing region of the brain called left auditory cortex.

  •  The findings may pave the way to non-invasive therapeutic interventions aimed at normalizing oscillatory function in the auditory cortex and improving phonological processing in individuals with dyslexia.

Is Change Possible?

The Brain Rehab program that we offer is based on the scientific fact that the human brain has the amazing ability to re-organize itself by forming new connections between brain cells. How We Can Help You? In order for this process to happen, you have to have the right stimulation to activate this process. We then use our cutting-edge technology such as QEEG, neurofeedback, photo biomodulations, air caloric, and advanced brain-eye/movement exercise to help.

For Life-Threatening Emergencies Call 911

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
